Security FAQs

First you must know your security system and how to operate it.  You do this by reading the instruction manual given to you by the installer.  If you did not receive an instruction manual from your install; then contact the alarm company that sold you the alarm.

Most security systems have a 'Master' code assigned that the homeowner has chosen.  To change the 'Master' code do the following:

1. Enter the current 'Master' code at the keypad

2. Press [8] code key

3. Enter [02]

4. Enter the new code two times.

Example:  the current Master code = 1234 and you want to change to 5678

You would enter 1234 + 8 + 02 + 5678 + 5678
